Organ transplantation refers to an operation in which an organ is removed from the body as a donor and placed on top of a damaged organ in another body. It is possible for the donor and recipient to be in the same location. In addition, it is possible to transplant organs from a donor in a different region to a recipient in a different location. The organs or tissues to be transplanted can be taken from cadavers and living bodies. It is among the most complex areas of medicine.
