In addition, this operation cannot be applied to individuals under the age of 18. It is possible to state that the stomach operation is not suitable for individuals with kidney failure, various important diseases and chronic diseases.

How is the Gastric Clamp Attached?

The operation in question usually takes about 1 hour. In gastric banding operation, which is a surgical operation, general anaesthesia is applied to the patients. Small incisions not exceeding 1 cm are made in the abdomen of the patient. Through these incisions, access is provided to the junction with the oesophagus and stomach. Gastric clamp is placed in this part by means of technological tools. It is installed a few inches ahead of the junction of the oesophagus and stomach. The balloon located just below the cuff is inflated and the stomach is narrowed. A small gastric chamber is created with this procedure, which is performed at the entrance area of ​​the stomach.
